The peaceful village of VIRGINIA lies on the shores of Lugh Ramor. Dating back to the Plantation of Ulster, the town was named after Queen Elizabeth I (‘the Virgin Queen’). Quite unattractive, KINGSCOURT however has a few sites of interest, such as St Mary’s Catholic Church which stained-glass windows are stunning, and the Dún an Rí Forest Park (call 966 7320 for information) where you will stroll leisurly. |
