FETHARD
is also of great interest for medieval times lovers. A great part of
the walls of the town are still intact and other ruins contribute to
its attractiveness and to the medieval feeling. The Holy Trinity Church
is a splendid remnant of the 13th century. Many ruins have been
incorporated into more recent buildings, a number of tower houses
remain though as well as well hidden Sheila-na-gigs. The latter are
sexually explicit stone images of women which |
