East Cork Golf Club was founded by Eamonn Moloney and his wife Pe, in May 1968 when they converted their dairy farm to a golf course. The farm is situated on the ourskirts of Midleton, bordered by two rivers, making it an ideal parkland location for a golf course. Eddie Hackett assisted the Moloneys in designing their course. It officially opened on November 10th 1969 by the late Brian Leniham T.D. Eamonn and Peg have always had a keen interest in the development of junior club members. Their hospitality and courtesy to all has become a legendary feature of East Cork Golf Club. |
