| Dolan's Pub and Restaurant was established in 1878, but obviously many things have changed since then. The electric light bulb was indeed a wonderful invention! Indeed the entire docklands area of Limerick has seen major changes, especially in the last few years. The once famous landmark of Ranks flour mills, which served as a welcoming sight for many a weary sailor has almost vanished. Only one of the original towering entities remains. It was so sturdy in it's construction that the company charged with it's demolition went belly-up trying to knock it! Fortunately the nearby Dolans was unharmed |
