This traditional Links was formed by Hawtree & Taylor in 1927 and the natural beauty and evolution of the Links terrain has been further moulded by E. Hackett and in the last decade by the Roscommon designer / agronomist E.B. Connaughton. The Links has been described as a hidden jewel and the Southern region of the Irish P.G.A. held their 2001 and 2002 championships on this demanding links.
The 18 hole par 69 Links is a traditional designed course and offers all levels of golfer the opportunity to test their skills to the fullest. Sand warrens, bunkers and large links greens ensure that visitors get a feel of traditional links play whilst still enjoying the natural beauty of this picturesque course. |
