from its good beach, the pretty village of Ballycastle has no major
attraction. |
The Tourist Information Office (call 20762024 for information or send
an e-mail to tourism@moyle-council.org) is located at the Moyle
District Council on Mary St and has the following opening times:
9.30am to 7pm Monday to Friday in July and August
9.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday from September to June
The very few sights in Ballycastle include Ballycastle Museum (call
20762942 for information), the Marconi Memorial and the ruins of
Bonamargy Friary which dates back to |
the late 15th century. A notable
event is the Ould Lammas Fair which is as old as 1606, taking place on
the last Monday and Tuesday of August and attracting thousands of
people. |
